We believe that every journey begins with a single step. If you're eager to embark on a fulfilling career as a disability support worker in Victoria, here are the eight essential steps you'll encounter in our recruitment process:

  • Upon submitting your application, you'll promptly receive a confirmation email acknowledging its receipt.

  • Your application will be meticulously assessed by one of our Recruitment Consultants. This assessment aligns your qualifications with our capability requirements and key selection criteria. Successful applicants will be invited to proceed to the next step, an online assessment.

  • This phase involves an online assessment tailored to your specific job function. It assesses your literacy and numeracy skills. Success at this stage will lead to a follow-up phone interview.

  • During the phone interview, we'll delve into your background, work history, hands-on support experience and motivations for your application.

  • Here, you'll participate in a group setting, answering behavioural-based questions that showcase your knowledge and industry experience. You'll gain a better understanding of your role at ONCALL and the subsequent stages in our recruitment process.

  • At this point, you'll be asked to provide the contact details of two professional referees who have supervised you. You'll also be requested to compile relevant checks, copies of qualifications and any recommended training opportunities. We’ll need copies of your qualifications and key training certifications, including Medication, First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling. Proof of COVID vaccinations and Boosters will also be required. If you lack any of these, we may offer training pathways, including JobReady Plus or other relevant courses.

  • The CAB Day is a comprehensive information session, often conducted online. This session is relevant to all ONCALL staff members, covering essential policies, procedures and employee expectations.
