Purposed Housing Unveils State of the Art SDA Home in Cranbourne
We’re excited to announce a new SDA home in Cranbourne has broken ground!
NDIS Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA) should meet the needs of thousands of Australians living with high physical and/or complex behaviour disabilities. However, many have found it difficult or impossible to find suitable affordable accommodation in the past.
Our sister company Purposed Housing Australia has been established to provide purpose-built, high-quality housing to close this gap.
Today Purposed Housing Australia broke ground on a new Robust SDA home in Cranbourne. A new build like this will change people’s lives and we’re so excited to be a part of it!
Thanks to Deputy Mayor Amanda Stapledon for coming along and helping Purposed Housing Australia mark this special day.
Capital Funding support in a participant’s NDIS plan will subsidize the costs of appropriate housing. This will help meet the needs of participants who require specialist home modifications to live safely and comfortably. In addition, it will increase privacy through the SDA rental market or through the purchase of their own home.
NDIS SDA Funding together with a reasonable rent contribution paid by the participant of 25% of DSP (approx $109.63pw) + Govt Rent Assistance payment ($78.12pw) makes it realistically possible for participants to afford suitable housing.
Purposed Housing Australia is excited to begin the new project at 8 Hotham Street in Cranbourne which will be a Robust home for up to four NDIS SDA participants.
